Prohibits sale or rental of ultra-violent video games to
children. Provides exception if child has permission of parent or

A BILL FOR AN ACT
Relating to ultra-violent video games.
Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:
SECTION 1. { + (1) As used in this section, 'ultra-violent
video game' means a video game depicting serious injury to human
beings in a manner that is especially heinous, atrocious or
cruel.
(2) A person may not sell or rent an ultra-violent video game
to a child under the age of 18 unless the child has the
permission of the child's parent or guardian to purchase or rent
the game. + }
