  Provides that cities, counties and other political subdivisions
may regulate only possession of firearms and ammunition in public
places.
 
                        A BILL FOR AN ACT
Relating to firearms; creating new provisions; and repealing ORS
  166.170, 166.171, 166.172, 166.173, 166.174, 166.175 and
  166.176.
Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:
  SECTION 1.  { + Except as otherwise provided by law, cities,
counties and other political subdivisions of this state may, with
respect to firearms and ammunition, regulate only possession in a
public place, as defined in ORS 161.015. + }
  SECTION 2.  { + ORS 166.170, 166.171, 166.172, 166.173,
166.174, 166.175 and 166.176 are repealed. + }
